What is the future of e commerce in India? 

One of the comforts of the internet is instant access. The worldwide web has changed the way we work, the way we socialize and the explosion of eCommerce has changed the way we buy. In the last ten years, the evolution of technological hardware and the Internet has had a direct correlation with ecommerce. Purchases optimized for mobile devices

Perhaps one of the most important evolutions of eCommerce in recent years is the ability to browse, compare and buy from sites or apps via smartphone or tablet, simply and responsively. The Mobile Commerce or M-commerce account for a vast majority of people who are now willing to experiment with the entire process through the buyer path smaller screens. People can make purchasing decisions and buy products without ever going into a retail store, all from their mobile device.

Although mobile commerce has yet to be adopted by the masses of smartphone device users, there has been great progress in the first part of this decade. The number of people who used a phone to pay for their products and services rose to 9 million mobile subscribers in the United States in 2008.

Because app markets have developed on Android and iOS, app-based mobile commerce has had the opportunity to create much more interactivity and engagement across these platforms. The push notifications are an advantage that mobile shopping apps have in re-engage with their customers and promote sales.
